X-Pact Active Chatter Damping
X-Pact© Active Chatter Damping enables overcoming production restricitions due to vibrations in cold rolling. It applies precise counter vibrations into the roll gap by using Piezo elements and thus minimizes mill chatter ranging up to 1.000Hz. The counter vibrations are modulated by a tailor-made control system allowing a precise 180°-turn phase shift of the damping signal related to the vibration itself.
