SMS group IMEA region invites SULB to a Workshop tour and Test Center visit in Mönchengladbach

SMS group IMEA region (Italy, Middle East & Africa) invited SULB Bahrain to a workshop tour and a visit to the Test Center at the SMS group Mönchengladbach location. Ravi Singh, CEO of SULB, Jaafar Hassan Mohamed Ebrahim, General Manager Operations SULB, and Sudhir Kalmady, Assistant General Manager SULB, got first hand insights in the high quality of SMS group’s flexible production and its performance during the tour which was guided by Dirk Köhler, Head of Sales & Execution EA Long Products, who showed the visitors around and explained about the facility.

The original automation hard and software at the X-Pact^® Plug & Work Test Center is linked to a virtual simulation of a complete mill line. An insight how the programming engineers test their software against a real-time 3D simulation of the mill line, basically a digital twin of the real plant, was given.
