The new Concast continuous caster for Hasçelik's new steel plant in Osmaneli, Bilecik, Turkey, will start operation in the fourth quarter 2024 and will be able to produce steel billets between 160x160 mm and 240x240 mm in a wide range of steel grades that include low, medium, high and micro alloyed grades for the automotive, mechanical engineering, and aerospace industries.

The new caster will be equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as Convex moulds, Condrive mold oscillator, Conflow stopper control for submerged casting and electromagnetic stirrers for both mould and final zone. In addition, an integrated, modernized automation and process system is used to ensure the high quality of the cast products.

Hasçelik is a producer of hot-rolled special steel, cold-worked special bright steel, and grinding balls.  As Turkey's largest bright steel exporter, with rolling mill facilities and an extensive network of steel service centers across the country, Hasçelik is counted among Turkey's 200 largest industrial enterprises. To ensure the continued growth of the Group, Hasçelik has decided to build its own meltshop with vacuum degassing and submerged casting technologies.
