From the very beginning, the focus of the company has been the manufacture of equipment for this field, particularly hot rolling mills for bars, sections, and wire rods.

S.I.M.A.C.’s reputation and considerable success drew the attention of SMS Schloemann-Siemag AG (Germany), the most significant global player in plant design and construction, and mechanical engineering for the steel and nonferrous metal processing industry, which was a key factor in their initiating a partnership that combined their high-tech components with S.I.M.A.C.’s innovative products.

Following a strategic reorganization, S.I.M.A.C. joined SMS Meer in 2001.

The Long Products business unit has been represented by SMS group since 2015.
