SCHUMAG and KIESERLING Service by the SMS group
Since the sale of the first combined drawing machine to a German steel producer in 1929, no name has been as representative for drawing lines as the SCHUMAG brand. The mechanical engineering division of the traditional brand from Aachen as well as the KIESERLING product portfolio have been managed under the umbrella of the SMS group since 2015. With the integration into the worldwide service structure with global service hubs, not only the spare parts supply of existing SCHUMAG, KIESERLING and SMS bright steel plants is secured, but also the further service offers, such as maintenance, training, (emergency) repairs and modernization are available.
How well this offer has been used by the customer side since 2017 is shown by the following impressive figures of the Technical Service for bright steel equipment of SCHUMAG, KIESERLING and SMS group:
- over 450 service visits by service specialists on site
- over 670 repairs in the specially tailored service workshop
- over 170 modernizations and over 8500 spare parts orders
