Electrics and Automation

Keeping your equipment operating continuously and efficiently requires the utilization of the latest in electrical and automation technology.  Our Electrical and Automation team located in our Pittsburgh, PA office consists of over 50 experienced engineers providing the full range of control systems from drives to PLCs/HMIs to supervisory models-based systems.  The team implements both new control systems with new plant equipment as well as control system upgrades providing complete engineering, software development, equipment design and field commissioning.

As part of one of the world’s largest system integrators in the metals industry, the Pittsburgh team is seamlessly expanded to utilize any of our SMS Electrical and Automation offices around the world bringing our total team to over 1,000 employees.   No project is too small or too large and we cover all aspects of metals production from liquid metal to finished product.
