X-Pact® Battery Storage is equipped with a high-level controller (LUX EPC, Energy & Power Controller) that provides energy and power management functions in any functional modes (peak shaving, peak shifting, grid support, frequency regulation, energy arbitrage etc.), high performance in terms of dynamic and power management optimization, and predictive diagnostics.

BESS technology enhances performance at every stage of the power transmission chain:

  • at the production level, avoiding any upgrades on the grid infrastructure by flattening the generation profile;
  • at the transmission and distribution level, making the grid smarter by matching supply and demand as closely as possible;
  • at the end-user level, optimizing the energy management by improving the self-consumption ratio, reliability, and efficiency.

    1. Intrinsic safety, to avoid operating conditions that lead to heat and gas formation

      Main actors → Safety devices (fuses, heat sensors, fans and vents for gases extraction and dissipation)

    The container solution* ensures a high level of system modularity, availability and reliability - key factors for a fast return on investment.

    The choice of different brands of power conversion systems makes it possible to find the optimal configuration in terms of:

    • power sizing (inverter number and power unit)
    • voltage level (solutions either up to 1kV or 1,5kV)
    • DC section

    Selecting different battery brands results in the product that is able to provide:

    • enhanced performances (by covering power intensive and energy intensive applications)
    • greater stability in market price fluctuations (internal competition between brands)
    • increased reliability in delivery time (by comparing the availabilities between brands)
