Fabíola Fernandez

Fabíola Fernandez (born 1977) is Member of the Managing Board (CFO) of SMS group.

Fabíola Fernandez was born in São Paulo, Brazil. She studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo and later gained her Master's degree in European and German law at Berlin's Humboldt-Universität.

Prior to joining SMS group, she worked as co-CEO of Gegenbauer Holding SE & Co KG, one of Germany's leading facility management companies, with around 18,000 employees in Germany, Poland, and Luxembourg.

Before joining Gegenbauer as CFO and CHRO, she held various senior management positions at the German mining group K+S AG (DAX/MDAX company), where she worked internationally in Germany, Canada, USA, Chile, Brazil, and Peru. She has served as Director of International Taxation, Managing Director of K+S Finance Belgium, CFO Latin America, and VP Controlling & Finance Potash Business.

Fabíola Fernandez has five children and lives with her family in Mönchengladbach.
