SMS group received German Design Award 2019

Axel Rossbach and Erdem Karakas, both SMS group engineers, have received the German Design Award 2019 in Frankfurt on the 8th of February for their work. This award honors the development of a completely new design for spraying headers, which are installed into forging presses to cool the dies. The design as well as the type of production (3D-print) of these spraying headers in this form was only possible due to the integrated approach of Additive Manufacturing: a prime example of the SMS group’s innovative power.
