Partnering with Al Gharbia Pipe Company, SMS group has successfully engineered and supplied their LSAW plant at the Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (KIZAD) in 2019. As the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) partner, SMS group supplied innovative process equipment and core machinery, enabling Al Gharbia to realize its vision of becoming a leading manufacturer in the energy sector.
The turn-key plant, designed for a production capacity of 240,000 tons per year, showcases SMS group’s commitment to delivering innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the industry. Equipped with advanced technology, including the second-generation JCO® pipe forming press and Shape automation system, the plant ensures precise control over the production process, resulting in superior pipe quality and enhanced efficiency.
The successful operation and achieved production of 200,000 tons of premium pipes at Al Gharbia's LSAW plant is an important achievement for both partners.
